The Olive on Sunset replaces BOA inside The Grafton.

I recently reported about Greg Morris’ plans to open The Oaks Gourmet Market. The owner of The Spanish Kitchen, Stone Fire Pizza Co. and The Belmont next turns his attention to The Grafton. BOA is moving down the Sunset Strip to Luckman Plaza, and Morris will replace IDG’s steakhouse with a casual Italian bistro called the olive on sunset. He said, “I wanted something that represented the food and drink aspect of the concept, the food is obvious and of course the olive in the martini is pretty obvious as well.”

Morris hasn’t hired an executive chef yet, but the bistro’s food will be “favorites with a twist” like Tuna and Filet Carpaccio, Panzanella Salads, Roasted Peppers and Burrata Cheese, Sardinia Pizza, Veal Milanese, Chicken Parmigiano.

The space will change dramatically. Morris said, “We are blowing out the whole front of the hotel and making all open outdoor style seating, the feel with be modern Italian Bistro, very bright clean and simple.”

As for ETA, Morris said, “We are taking over shortly and after about 10 weeks of remodel we will be opening.”
