Tyler King grew Coffee Commissary from a single West Hollywood location. Six Los Angeles branches now span three area codes. Their outpost in Glendale’s Kenneth Village is the largest coffee bar to date. This 3500 square foot space includes wraparound sidewalk tables, exposed white wood rafters, a gray and pink color scheme, and an on-site kitchen and bakery.
Coffee Commissary is a multi-roaster cafe that rotates between premium beans from companies like Portland’s Coava Coffee Roasters, Vancouver’s 49th Parallel Coffee and local Take Flight Coffee. My espresso ($3.50) delivered the requisite crema, balanced flavor, and flair befitting a specialty coffee bar.
