Tired of gnawing on dried-out, flavorless turkey for Thanksgiving? Joseph Geragosian and his family are offering a Syrian solution. Old Sasoon Bakery in Pasadena is stuffing 20-pound gobblers with savory rice pilaf, ground beef, nuts and spices. The cost: $65 per turkey. Upon request, they’ll also bake turkey lahmajunes by the dozen ($12). The eight-inch flatbreads host lean ground turkey, fresh tomatoes, onions, garlic and spices.
If turkey isn’t your thing, they’ll also bake you a whole lamb, which is also stuffed with rice pilaf, ground beef, nuts and spices. A small Australian lamb weights 35 pounds and costs $175. A large U.S.D.A. Choice lamb runs $250.
