Looks like Seven Grand, The Edison, Comme Ca and The Hungry Cat have competition for the city’s cocktail crown. At the Edison Beer soiree on Monday night, mixologist Damian Windsor (previously of Gordon Ramsay at The London, Seven Grand and The Hungry Cat) said he recently wrote a cocktail menu for Delux. No wonder my friends ordered four cocktails apiece at last Friday’s grand opening. Windsor will be mixing the cocktails one night a week. When he’s not behind the green marble bar, he said customers are still in good hands, since his training sessions went silky-smooth. Delux co-owner Kristofer Keith provided the opening cocktail menu.

LA’s a bit behind NY and SF in the fine/unique cocktail movement, but it’s definitely catching up.
