On September 14, Eric Greenspan launched Lunes Latinos at The Foundry on Melrose. Every Monday, you’ll now find the vaunted chef’s spin on Latin cuisine, including Greenspan’s Gorditas ($3 each) filled with orange glazed chicken, pinto beans and “smokey mole;” tamarind garlic steak with cilantro lime sauce and pico de gallo; and Dr. Pepper marinated pork with pickled cabbage and horchata-cheese sauce. Non-gordita options include chorizo smothered tots and mini churro bites with Abuelita chocolate dipping sauce and dulce de leche.

New Latin-inspired cocktails for Lunes Latinos include the Laranja – Leblon Cachaca, blood orange bitters and orange juice; Cilantro Mojito – Starr Rum, muddled lime and tamarind syrup; and The Explosivo – Bacardi Limon, Pama Pomegranate Liquor and chili. From 6 PM – 9 PM, these drinks are half-price in the lounge, which also hosts live Brazilian jazz, bossa nova, samba and Latin Fling.

Finally, it’s now Monday Night Industry Night at The Foundry. All restaurant workers receive 25% off in the lounge or dining room as long as they present a pay stub.
