Caffe Primo owner Tony Riviera plans to open TONYS steakhouse at WeHo’s Sunset Millennium complex on February 6. For Riviera, who is expecting a huge 2009, three weeks is too long to wait to open a third restaurant. Downhill, depending on the results of yesterday’s Health Department inspection, he may open Primo Bistro by next week in the Ramada Plaza. This is all part of the “domination” that Eater LA predicted in July.
The full-service café will feature a 200-seat wraparound patio. Indoors, expect a 50-person dining room with an exhibition kitchen. The space will include stone walls and dark wood floors. The seating: primarily banquette.
A large menu will include dishes like chops, pastas and seafood. In the morning, you’ll find “coffee valet” service.
Primo Bistro secured a beer and wine license. Riviera’s team will also oversee the Ramada lobby bar, poolside dining and room service.

I don’t like banquettes personally. I like how there’s 200 patio seats and 50 dining room seats. Ahhh, don’t you love LA?
