The Bottle Room

According to chef-owner Tony Alcazar, “Join us as we host Cismontane Brewing Co. for a 3-course late Spring Beer Pairing Dinner, Wednesday, May 25th from 7-11pm. No tickets or reservations are needed for this special event. Chef Tony will be whipping up 3 dishes to pair with 4 special brews from our friends at Cismontane. The cost is $36 per person.” Beers updated daily.

Since last Thursday, Phil McGovern’s iconic Santa Monica bar has added Stone Arrogant Bastrd and Morte Subite Blanche to their beer list.

Eagle Rock Brewery

According to the update from ERB, “Flowing at the tap room will be Solidarity, Revolution, Manifesto and Equinox. TONIGHT: Come and join us at City Tavern in Culver City for a beer pairing dinner where they’ll be serving up some delicious eats with some special beers that we’ve been working on just for the occasion. The theme of the dinner is “Spring Infusions” so we’ve got fun variations of your favorite beers: Vanilla Solidarity, Fennel Manifesto, Loquat Equinox, and Thyme Revolution that will be presented. There may even be a keg of Yearling, our anniversary Flanders red ale, at the event…just sayin’. Space is limited, so be sure to call City Tavern for your reservation soon! Also, This month’s Beer School class is all about Saison. Come learn all about this traditional farmhouse-style ale from Drew Beechum (the man who wrote the book on homebrewing) and taste some great saisons. It’s the perfect way to prime your palate for the summer!

The class will take place in the Eagle Rock Brewery taproom on Tuesday 5/24/11 from 7pm to 9pm. As usual, the taproom will be open at 6p for those registered in the class to come in to pickup the course materials and enjoy a pre-class beer. Cost will be $30 per person and registration can be purchased online. ”

The Factory

According to Eric Gutenkauf, “This weekend is Rare Beer Weekend at The Factory Gastrobar! Each day The Factory will tap new brews to ensure adequate tasting time for the whole lineup. Here are the headliners for each night:

Thursday: Delta 9–a new IPA from Beer Valley in Oregon (makers of the legendary Leafer Madness), Lost Continent–A double IPA from Grand Teton Brewing in Idaho, Yearling–A Flanders-style sour ale from Eagle Rock Brewing, that was the star of the show at our ER event last week!, John John Dead Guy–A collaboration between Rogue head brewer and head distiller, both of whom are named John.

Friday–Port Older Viscosity Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dark Strong Ale–The grandaddy of barrel-aged awesomeness!, Stone Double Double Dry Hopped IPA-The folks at Stone generously offered up a reserve version of their classic IPA., New Belgium Le Terroir Dry Hopped Sour Ale

Saturday–Great Divide 17th Anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA–Don’t want to miss this just-released brew, Cismontane Black’s Dawn Stout–an already legendary stout from the Orange County newcomers, Total Eclipse Black Ale–A hoppy Black ale from Hoppy Brewing of Sacramento

Sunday–WARNING: By Sunday the taps will likely be filled with a selection of beers that is truly mind-boggling!!!! Equinox–A lighter sour from Eagle Rock Brewery, Iron Fist Off Hand–first commercial release of the all-Belgian malt version of Hired Hand Saison, Bootleggers ???–You’ll have to wait and see what Aaron has in store for Sunday!”

The Golden State

The Golden State draught beers include Craftsman 1903, Avery DuganA, Buckbean Orange Blossom, Great Divide Collette, Moylan’s Hoplander and Grand Teton’s Pursuit of Hoppiness.

Ladyface Ale Companie

According to Ladyface rep Robyn Britton, “Cask of the Week is “Mystery Beer #1”. It’s special, it’s different, it’s like those little mystery grab bags. Beer aficionados will not be disappointed. That makes 11 Ladyface ales on tap, including our new Imperial Red Ale, Amazon Red. Joining them are Alesmith XPA, Allagash Confluence, Bootlegger’s Dr. Tongue and Anniversary Ale, Port/Lost Abbey Red Barn Ale, and Taps Barleywine. On deck – Stone Old Guardian, Bruery Tradewinds Tripel, and Russian River Damnation.

American Craft Beer Week continues with Brewmaster Dave’s Round Table Pint Night on Thursday night, 6pm, with discounted flights. It’s Ladyface Night at Blue Palms this Friday with 5 of our ales on tap. Saturday, we’re featuring a $30 3-course prix fixe dinner here at Ladyface paired with 3 Ladyface ales. It’s also a week for cyclists. On Thursday, in honor of L.A. County’s Bike to Work Day, arrive at Ladyface on 2 (non-motorized) wheels and get a $2 beer and/or $2 fries (2 discounts per person). Friday through Sunday, you can enjoy the Tour of California on the big, big screen and enjoy a special preview release of Dérailleur, our bière de garde aged in Semler’s Sauvignon Blanc French oak barrels.”

Library Alehouse

According to Alex Davis at Library Alehouse, “American Craft Beer Week rolls on this weekend at the Alehouse! There should be some leftovers from Brouwerij West and Karl Strauss, and on Saturday Night we have Bootlegger’s in the house with Dry-Hopped ESB, Black Phoenix and 78 Anniversary!

As a late American Craft Beer Week addition, we’ll have Sculpin and Habanero Sculpin on Sunday! We’re also cooking up a spicy pairing for the Habanero Sculpin so keep an eye on the facebook page!

Tuesday May 24 we have our monthly non-profit night with Sustainable Streets. Don’t forget this Saturday is the first Pirates Festival in West LA at the Olympic Collection HQ on Sawtelle and Olympic. Great way to celebrate the end of Craft Beer Week with a lot of beer for four hours in the afternoon.

Fennel Manifesto is totally my next band name.
