Fundraiser Pasadena

WriteGirl celebrates and supports emerging teenage voices.

On May 3, Pasadena Playhouse hosts a benefit for WriteGirl, a Pasadena organization that has been offering creative writing workshops, mentoring, public readings and publishing opportunities for teen girls. A Silent Auction & Pre-Show Reception lasts from 4:30 – 6 PM, which is when professional actors like Melora Hardin (The Office), JoBeth Williams (Dexter) and Dana Delany & James Denton (Desperate Housewives) bring the girls’ stories to life.

You’re probably wondering about WriteGirl’s food or drink connection. Enter the VIP Post-Show Reception from 7:30 – 8:30 PM, with provisions from Nancy Silverton (Mozza), Silverlake Wine, Canele, barbrix, Cliff’s Edge, Border Grill & Ciudad Catering, Cake Monkey, BLD, Venokado, Little Dom’s, Hocus Pocus Winery, IZZE, Sweets for the Soul and The Silver Lake Fruit Co.

General admission for the performance is $20 per person ($10 for students with ID). Premier tickets cost $50 per person and include the pre-show reception. $100 VIP Tickets include admission to the pre- and post-show receptions.
