Wanderlust Creamery Avocado Toastada

Ice Cream Los Angeles

Wanderlust Creamery created a truly original take on avocado toast for their Venice location.

Avocado toast has become a played out parody of L.A. cuisine. Most versions can be made simply at home for a fraction of the cost. Brave culinarians just need to avoid the perils of avocado hand. Keep in mind that none of this criticism applies to Wanderlust Creamery and their truly unique take on avocado toast.

This Los Angeles ice cream concept from chef Adrienne Borlongan and partner JP Lopez proved to be a hit in Tarzana and Atwater Village. The couple recently introduced a sleek Venice location. Their business builds ice cream flavors around global travels. Wanderlust Creamery also offers sundaes, nitro floats, and recently introduced an impressive off-menu play on avocado toast.

Avocado Toastada ($7) centers a sizable scoop of creamy avocado ice cream on a griddled-to-order sweet corn waffle “tortilla.” Staffers dress each refreshing sundae with a shower of Maldon sea salt, a choice of lime olive oil or condensed milk, coconut meat shavings, sweet strawberries, and edible purple and orange pansies.
