“Firestone Oaktober is new on draft. Monday, October 25 is the Wychwood Brewing Beer Tasting at BottleRock Culver City. Wychwood is the home of the Hobgoblin – just in time for Halloween! Five Beers – $15.”

“Two new seasonal beers now in stock! Stone 10.10.10 Vertical Epic (9th in the series) & Great Divide Brewing Company Hibernation Ale.”

CITY SIP LA

On October 31 from 5 PM – 5 PM, Alex Macy and City Sip LA are hosting a Halloween Beer and Zombie (Book) Pairing, featuring “7 Killer Beers (to calm your nerves!),” “7 cheeses (oh, yes…there will be head cheese!),” Ben Tripp, author of “RISE AGAIN, a Zombie Thriller,” who will read passages from his book…”and possibly eat some offal meats (Brains, Liver, etc.) for those who eat flesh!” Come in a Zombie costume and get a party fvor. CONGREGATION ALE HOUSE

According to beverage director Eli Wilson, “”Thanks to all that came out for our three LA Beer Week events last week! We currently are running through our special inventory from last week, so come by for a final sip of Double Dry Hopped SSR, Stone Chipotle Porter, Great Divide Hercules IPA, Lagunitas Fusion 4, and more!”

On Halloween, we will be holding our annual Saints and Sinners Ball, complete with 32 Ghoulish beers on tap and a costume contest with prizes. Event will run all day, but for a sneak preview of the beers on tap, those in-the-know stop by on Halloween Eve.””

DRINK EAT TRAVEL’S FIREFIGHTER BENEFIT

On October 27 from 7 PM – 11 PM, Drink Eat Travel is hosting a benefit for the Fallen Firefighters Foundation at the Los Angeles Fire Department Museum, including beer from Firestone Walker, food from Chipotle, chocolate from The Chocolate Traveler and music from DJ J.J. Aquino. Tickets cost $12.

THE FACTORY

According to owner Natalie Gutenkauf, “Tuesday, October 26th is our monthly BYOB: BEER dinner. This month’s theme is Oregon Beers! Our guests bring enough of the theme beer for themselves and some to share. We sit community table style, pass bottles around, while enjoying a four-course meal. This is going to be a fun meal to create, so much yummy stuff to work with … Oregon salmon, wild mushrooms, Rogue Creamery … ah, where to begin?! The dinner is $25 per person with no corkage fee.”

LADYFACE ALE COMPANIE

According to Ladyface rep Robyn Britton, “Cask of the Week is gravity-drawn this week. “My Ex-Girlfriend is Back”, our Ladyface IPA with whole leaf Summit hops and bitter & sweet Curacao orange peels, returns. On tap – La Blanche Wit, La Blonde, Picture City Porter, Port Shark Attack and High Tide wet-hopped IPA, Great Divide Hercules and Hades, Ballast Point Big Eye IPA, Alesmith IPA, Avery Joe’s Pils, Ommegang Hennepin Saison, Green Flash Double Chocolate Stout, Stone Chipotle Smoked Porter, St. Louis Gueuze and Spaten Octoberfest. On deck – Malheur 12, Avery Dugana and Russian River Blind Pig.

The new fall menu is up on the website. Warm, hearty dishes that take advantage of autumn’s harvest abundance are perfect for these rainy days. And the chocolate stout pudding is pretty killer. Cheers!”

38 DEGREES ALEHOUSE

On October 23 from noon – midnight, 38 Degrees is hosting Hoptoberfest, featuring 35 IPAs, double IPAs and Oktoberfest beers. They’re pouring a dozen different Imperial IPAs, including Mikkeller I Hardcore You, Beer Valley Fresh Hopped Leafer Madness, Avery Dugana and Drake’s Denogginizer. 14 different American IPAs will flow, including Kern River Just Outstanding, Hangar 24 IPA, Great Divide Fresh Hop IPA and Marin Indian Summer. You’ll also find German style beers like Schneider Aventinus Weizenbock, Ballast Point Oktoberfest and Avery The Kaiser.

TONY’S DARTS AWAY

According to last night’s update from owner Tony Yanow, “Paige and I are in Chico for beer camp at Sierra Nevada, but there are lots of great things on tap including: Blind Pig from Russian River, Ambition from Ladyface, Welcome Back Wipeout from Pizza Port Carlsbad, Rosebud Old Ale from Rubicon and 34 others today.

We are gearing up for Vegan Beer Festival which will be held on the grounds of the Roxy Theater on the Sunset Strip on Nov 6th. Inside and out. Tickets available at special advanced pricing at the Roxy and Ticketmaster.”

VENDOME TOLUCA LAKE

Vendome Toluca Lake staffer Harley Rogers has assembled 15 beers for Saturday afternoon’s Abbey Ale tasting. From 2 PM -5 PM, staffers will pour tasters of each beer for $10, focusing on a “diversified sample of Dubbels, Tripels and Quads, from both the USA and Belgium.” Beers include Allagash Dubbel, Goose Island Pere Jacques, Marin Tripel Dipsea, Avery The Reverend Quad and Ommegang Three Philosophers.
