NEW ON TAP

Skyscraper Power Tool Pilsner – El Monte, CA
Per Skyscraper website: “A crisp, refreshing American Lager. This is what Pilsner was like before Prohibition! An abundance of malt flavor, balanced by the fine aroma of floral hops. Brilliantly clear, this beer can been enjoyed in all seasons.”

Craftsman Holiday Spruce – Pasadena, CA
Christina Perozzi (“The Beer Chick”), who consulted on Laurel Tavern’s beer menu: “This Winter warmer has an unbeatable balance…but its a big balance, the aroma is a mix of fruit and sweet spice. One detects cinnamon, allspice, and really delicious orange and orange peel notes in the flavor. Then the maltiness hits you with distinct fruitiness. I get apples and old world fruit like raisins and figs. Then the beer rounds out with nice spiciness and dryness provided by the FRESH SPRUCE TIPS that Craftsman uses in the brewing of this beer. Does anything say Winter more?”

Craftsman Holiday Spruce. I need to do a profile on Craftsman Brewery, as one of the better micro-breweries in LA.

Nice updates and notes — got my eyes set on checking out that Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat 🙂
