The Bruery 3rd Anniversary Party

On May 29, The Bruery is celebrating its third anniversary at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim, with sessions running from 10:30 AM – 2 PM and 3:30 PM – 7 PM. Unlike previous anniversary parties, which took place at the Placentia brewery, they moved the event to make room for more than a dozen SoCal craft breweries, including Ballast Point Brewing Company, Tustin Brewing Company, Kern River Brewing Company and Craftsman Brewing Company. 100% of proceeds from the event go to 
Lestonnac Free Clinic, which has been providing free medical and dental care in Orange County since 1979.

From Chris Sobolewski, the beer dude at BoHo, “Fun news from BoHo…Come join us for our Memorial Day Weekend IPA Mini-Fest! It’s 8 IPAs and Double IPAs on draft for $5 all weekend! Yes, that includes Monday. Dogfish Head 90 Minute, Stone IPA, Port Wipeout & Mongo, Great Divide Hercules, Strand Atticus, Hop Rod Rye and Cismontane Double Rainbow. Some goodies from the kitchen as well. If IPAs aren’t your thing, come try the Unibroue Raftman or the Taps Cream Ale, delicious!”

Boneyard Bistro

From bar manager Rory Snipes, “New beers this week include Cismontane Black’s Dawn Stout, Telegraph Reserve Wheat, Saison Dupont Avec Les Bons Voeux, Caracole Saxo, Russian River Pliny the Elder, Allagash Odyssey, and Lost Abbey Serpent’s Stout…good drinking!”

The Bottle Room

According to chef-owner Tony Alcazar, “taps are flowin’ with good stuff. Bier de l’amitie, Scaldis peche, Deschutes Hop Henge, Monks Cafe Sour Ale, Port OldER Viscosity, Cabernale and on nitro Cismontane’s Black’s Dawn.

This Friday night we start our The Bruery 3 year celebration. We will dedicate 4 taps to them: Cuir, Trade Winds Tripel, Humulus Lager, and Mischief. We will also off these as a flight.

June 5th is “Praise the Lard” with Craftsman Brewing Co. We will roast 3 Suckling Pigs and serve them with “Hash Gratins”, Sauteed Swiss Chard and Green peppercorn Sauce. Craftsman will offer theyre new session beer, 4 Cylinder and their Seasonal, Citrus Saison. BAM!!!”

Congregation Ale House

Among the many taps pouring are Cismontane 1st Anniversary, Rogue Imperial Younger’s Special Bitter, Russian River Damnation and St. Bernardus Witbier.

The Daily Pint

Since last Thursday, Phil McGovern’s iconic Santa Monica bar has added Stone Smoked Porter with Vanilla Bean and Sierra Nevada Summerfest lager to their beer list.

Eagle Rock Brewery

Pouring at the tap room are Solidarity, Manifesto, Equinox and Populist. On the Food truck front, tonight brings the Pita Pushers, Mandoline Grill rolls in on Friday and Saturday is the Lobsta Truck.

The Factory

According to Eric Gutenkauf, “Hoppy Memorial Day Weekend at The Factory!…This isn’t just another pretty beer list, it also comes with extended hours to maximize your enjoyment! You asked and we listened—beginning this Friday, The Factory Gastrobar will open at 3PM every Friday, Saturday and Sunday! But that’s not all! Sunday we will inaugurate Sunday Suds Samplefest with $6 and $12 beer tasting flights every Sunday! Yep, 4 beer samples for $6 or 8 samples for $12—more than 30% regular price!

The Golden State

At The Golden State, draught beers include Bruery Tradewinds Tripel, Uinta Black IPA, Cismontane Coulter IPA, Avery DuganA, Super Cru, Abbey Grand Cru, New Belgium Le Terroir and Craftsman 1903.

Ladyface Ale Companie

According to Ladyface rep Robyn Britton, “What’s on tap? Mystery Beer #1 was such a hit, the Cask of the Week is Mystery Beer #2. Let’s see what our Facebook friends can figure out. The last Mystery Beer was a kriek and a number of people earned $1 Ladyface ales for [close-enuff] identifying the style. There are 11 Ladyface ales on tap, including our new Amazon Red. They’re joined by Allagash Confluence, Oskar Blues G’Knight, Port Ad Lib, Bootlegger’s Anniversary Ale, Taps Barleywine and Alesmith X. The Tour of California may be over but, for wine fans, Semler’s King of the Mountain Cuvée is still flowing.”

Library Alehouse

Here is the latest from Alex Davis at the Library Alehouse, “We’ve currently got New Belgium La Folie running along with Ballast Point Sculpin and I’ll be putting on kegs of Port’s Hot Rocks Lager and Dogfish Head’s Hellhound on my Ale, the second beer in their collaborative partnership with Sony.” Check the Library Alehouse Facebook page for updates.
