On January 15, LA Times business writer Sharon Bornstein reports on a food trend, saying, Forget cupcakes – pies are hot. For example, at Pasadena’s Pie ‘N Burger, customers ordered 900 pies just for Thanksgiving. The Flying Pie Man even gets a mention.

On January 14, My Last Bite founder Jo Stougaard shows her support for Food Revolution L.A., the show AND the movement, by attending a speech from Jamie Oliver at his Westwood headquarters. Oliver even brought in a marked-up cow to demonstrate how the cheapest cuts of beef are entering the school lunch programs.
On January 11, Street Gourmet LA founder Bill Esparza brings back great memories of the No Name Carnitas Stand in Mexico City, including photos of the cazo, the glorious cuts of pork meat and the resulting tacos.
