Coachella Valley Coffee Worth Seeking

Mountains Palm Springs

The San Jacinto and Santa Rosa Mountains help frame the Coachella Valley to the south.

Coachella isn’t just one of the world’s biggest music festivals. The Coachella Valley is a collection of nine California cities about two hours east of Los Angeles that spans over 300 square miles. These Riverside County cities include Palm Springs, Cathedral City, and Rancho Mirage. Indio resides on the eastern end of the valley and houses Empire Polo Club, which has hosted Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival since 1999 and currently draws over 250,000 attendees per year to the desert. Yes, even in April, the sun can get fierce. Festivities on and off-site can go deep into the night. The energy this requires clearly calls for caffeine. Some people prefer stronger stimulants, but I’m only willing to endorse coffee and tea. Of course, these coffee bars aren’t just open the two weekends a year that the fest takes place, so visit whenever possible. Based on two recent visits, learn about six places I recommend for coffee in the Coachella Valley.
