Lobster Festival Los Angeles

Everybody has fun but lobsters at Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival.

The annual Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival returns to San Pedro’s Ports O’ Call Village from September 18-20. That means lobster, live music, dancing and street performers. This year, they’re hoping to set the Guinness World Record for “Most Seafood Prepared at an Outdoor Event.”

If you’re looking for a sneak preview, the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce is hosting a “Lobster Roll” Luncheon on September 18 at Top of the Market at noon, featuring a special lobster roll created by Chris Cognac, better known as “The Hungry Detective.” Tickets to the luncheon cost $10. Just call the Chamber at 310 832 7272.

At the festival, a steamed 1.25-pound Maine lobster costs $17 and comes with cole slaw, potatoes, a roll, lemon wedges, drawn butter and a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese. You can also double down and buy two lobsters for $31.

This year’s live music includes Gram Rabbit, Happy Hollows, Henry Clay People and a special appearance from Mini Michael Jackson and Tiny Tina Turner.

Lobster Fest runs September 18 from 5 PM – 11 PM, September 19 from 11 AM – 11 PM and September 20 from 11 AM – 7 PM.
