Market-driven chef Samir Mohajer recently hired seasoned pastry chef Roxana Jullapat for The Cabbage Patch, his two-month-old restaurant on South Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills. Her credentials include two years as pastry cook for Nancy Silverton at La Brea Bakery and two-and-a-half years as pastry chef for Lucques and A.O.C.
Jullapat is already baking peanut butter whoopie pies with milk chocolate centers, Meyer lemon poundcake, and “everything” cookies with chocolate chips, coconut, walnuts and oats. Jullapat also crafts pies, crumbles, and puddings. She is currently working on a menu for Saturday brunch, which will launch at The Cabbage Patch in mid-May.
