This week in Brew & You: Pliny the Younger Madness hits Los Angeles, but Shipwrecked is Beer of the Week and Sean Inman asks you to call to hype your favorite beer in a post titled Harpooning Pliny the Younger.
Echo Park bar owner Elizabeth Fischbach is now pouring Strand Brewing Atticus IPA, Great Divide Grand Cru, Stone Smoked Porter, and Sudwerk Lager.
Beachwood chef-owner Gabe Gordon currently features draught beers such as Midnight Sun’s Obliteratio VII, Craftsman Honesty Ale and the latest Stone collaboration Highway 78 Scotch Ale. Track changes to Beachwood BBQ’s 24-tap menu via Hop Cam.

According to co-owner Eden Noe, “Following will be most likely on draft unless we tap out of some beers today: Goose Island Matilda from Chicago, Stone Double Dry Hopped IPA, Firestone Velvet Merlin Stout, Allagash Black, Belgian style stout, Allagash White Belgian witbier, Allagash Curieux (Belgian tripel bourbon aged 10 months), Unibroue Blanche de Noir Belgian style stout, Delirium Tremens Belgian pale ale, New Belgium Vrienden Saison from Colorado, Strand 24th Street Pale Ale, Crispin Apple Cider, Lost Abbey Judgment Day, Tripel Karmeliet Belgian tripel, Leffe Belgian Blond, Guinness, Stone Session Ale (Collaboration ale from Kelsey McNair, Stone, and Ballast Point), Rubicon Amber, Dogfish 90 minute IPA and Lagunitas IPA.
Bottled beers include Firestone 14th Anniversary (5 bottles will be available), Deschutes Red Chair red ale, Sapporo and Dogfish 60 minute.
We have a private engagement with Google from 5:30 to 7:30 on Feb 17th. From 7:30 to 9 PM we have Lagunitas Pint Night. Keep a Pint Glass. With Lagunitas IPA, Cappuccino Stout, Hop Stoopid Double IPA and Maximus Double IPA.

According to owner Eric Gutenkauf, “We currently have Buckbean Brewing’s Very Noddy Double Schwarzbier on tap! Yep, a giant roasty black lager at 10.5% ABV! Also on tap is Lagunitas Lil’ Sumpin’ Wild, Karl Strauss 22nd Anniversary Vanilla Imperial Stout, Mission IPA, Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous, Ballast Point Yellowtail Pale, and the next two combatants in our IPA tournament, Sudwerk German IPA and Drake’s Gold Medal IPA–make sure to cast your ballot as we work to settle the great IPA debate!
This weekend we will become the first Long Beach establishment to pour the fabulous brews from Brian Lethcoe at Nibble Bit Tabby Brewery. Brian’s Irish Red Ale will tap on Friday night, so come on in to learn more about this great little brewery.
On Saturday, the great folks at Bootleggers Brewery are helping us out by co-sponsoring the Pints for Pitbulls fundraiser that Orange County Pitbull Rescue is having at The Factory. We will be pouring a keg of Bootleggers’ new Spring Ale for donations, and will also have Bootleggers’ Old World Hefeweizen and Dr. Tongue Imperial Brown Ale on tap!”

According to Ladyface rep Robyn Britton, “All 7 regular Ladyface ales are on tap, including the new batch of Trois Filles Tripel, as well as Russian Lullaby Imperial Stout, 1st Anniversary Ale (Belgian Quad), Cabernet Barrel-aged Weizenbock and Oude Blonde (Chardonnay barrel-aged La Blonde).
Joining them are Great Divide Old Ruffian, Pliny The Elder, Oskar Blues Mama’s Little Yella Pils, Firestone Double Jack and Cyrena and Dave’s Sierra Nevada Beer Camp beer, Outta Town Brown. 375s of Russian River Sanctification just arrived. According to Marlene Samaniego, “In addition to our Barleywine line-up we are doing something special this month. We are participating in the ‘Samuel Smith Salute’! This is a tribute to the British brewery that helped launched the U.S. Craft Beer Revolution. Samuel Smith has been brewed since 1758 and imported to the U.S. since 1978. We will be featuring different Samuel Smith beers as our Bottled Beer of the Week all month long.”
The latest from Andew Kelley: “Here’s an update for this week at the surly goat. We still have several beers from our Russian River night on tap, including Supplication, Mortification and Rejection, among others. Here are some other highlights:
