While there, they and seven other campers designed a recipe and brewed it on Sierra Nevada’s pilot system. Luckily, their camp was at he same time as the grape harvest at The Abbey of New Clairvaux vineyard in Vina, California. The Abbey was a destination on their tour, as the Monastery collaborates with Sierra Nevada on their Ovila series. The campers took advantage of this opportunity to add some freshly picked Syrah and Tempranillo grapes to their beer. Steve Grossman (brother of Sierra Nevada owner Ken Grossman) will be here to answer all your beer related questions. Of course, proud “parents”, Todd and Alyssa will be there also, to brag about their creation! Sierra Nevada – Birra Vina Beer Camp #59 (Ale brewed with red grapes 8.5% ABV). Please try and think outside your comfort zone and bring in bottles of beer that you think will knock everyone’s socks off. Home Brewed beer is always welcome. The wider range of bottles that are shared, the more successful the event will be. We will be offering a special holiday meal along with our regular menu that will be sold separately.Keep in mind if you do not bring in 40 oz. of beer you will not be able to drink any of the beers being shared this night, we will have a number of winter warmer style beers on draft for purchase.”
