Owner Brian Lenzo drove down to San Diego yesterday and picked up 11 beers you can’t get anywhere else. All of those beers are still on tap, including Pizza Port Pedestal, Mission Hefeweizen, Rock Bottom Ragtop, Rock Bottom Abbey Ale Quad, Weinstephaner Lager, Ballast Point Black Marlin, Pizza Port Revelation, Mission Blonde, Pizza Port Killer Danas IPA, Ballast Point Abandon Ship, Rock Bottom Northstar IPA, Pizza Port Infamous, Karl Strauss 20th Anniversary (a Belgian Tripel Ale fermented for 10 months in bourbon barrels) and Mission Imperial Alt.

You’ll also find Firestone Double Barrel, Moylan’s Harvest IPA, Sacramento Brewing Company IPA, Speakeasy Hunter’s Point Porter, Rubicon IPA, Blue Palms IPA, Moylan’s Tipperary Pale Ale on Nitrogen, Rogue Black Lager, Kona Coffee Stout (made with two pounds of Kona coffee) and Yankee Liberty Pale Ale.

Left Coast Tangerine Hefeweizen Wheat Beer

Lon said that on Friday, they’re adding three artisan specials on firkin from Coronado Brewing Co., including Skipper’s Best Bitter, Piccadilly Porter and Admiral’s IPA. You’ll also find Red Devil Ale on tap.

Co-owner Zac Crandell said that as soon as AleSmith’s My Bloody Valentine runs, out, Johnny’s will add Grimbergen Dubbel. Also, they’ve added Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale, a limited release.

The Old Town Pasadena pub added 50 new beers last Saturday for Belgian Beer Fest, which runs through the end of the month. The only new beer on tap is Popperings Hommel, a hoppy Belgian beer with a lighter color that’s 8% abv.”

The eastern outpost of Lucky Baldwin’s added about 30 new beers on tap for the Belgian Beer Fest. The only thing that’s changed since the festival started on Saturday is a Firestone Double Barrel Ale from Paso Robles.

Belgian Beer Fest runs until the end of the month.

Co-owner Joseph Pitruzzelli said they’re switching from Leffe Brune to Leffe Blonde. They just brought on Wiesenedel-Weisse, a certified organic German Hefeweizen. “We just got all 24 beers running to the back, instead of 12,” he said. “That’s big for us.”

Pitruzzelli: “We have a new cider called Aspall, a Belgian organic apple cider that will come online by Saturday.”

According to owner Ryan Ballinger, “The Craftsman Honesty Ale went on tap. It is a sour cherry Belgian style fruit beer from our friends in Pasadena. It is tart and fantastic, one of my favorites of the Craftsman seasonals. We have two kegs of it.”

Smithwick’s Irish Ale is also on tap.

Two new 5-gallon cask ales should be coming today from Craftsman.
