Chicken Los Angeles

Chicken House specializes in different yardbird preparations.

Nelly Tatulbekyan and her husband opened Chicken House on Friday, September 5, in a former Little Armenia KFC. She wrote a succinct photo menu featuring four varieties of chicken: grilled, fried, rotisserie and hot wings. Chicken also comes in wraps, salads, sandwiches and soup. Chicken Meals ($4.99-7.99) come with a choice of side. Think mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and baked corn. Meals also feature a choice of sauce: ranch, barbecue or homemade tomato flecked with basil.

Last night, Nelly’s husband said they hope to open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays, but they first need to address security concerns for people getting out of clubs drunk or high. They also plan to add 54-inch flat screen TVs, hoping diners will linger.

Dont know what u guys are talking about…. the food is great, employees are friendly!!!! about police and stuff … what do u expect from the naiborhood like that it happens everywhere!!!!

So if there is nothing to explain, why are you explaining yourself then huh punk(someone was hiding in the roof blah blah)? Your an Idiot with a “capitol i”. Go to school, educate yourself, learn the proper grammar necessary to reply to someones comment, then reply back to me. P.S. The food sucks. Everybody agrees.

who ever doesnt like this place can suck myy fat dick

u guys are little bitches fuck you.this place is the best

there is nothing to explain to losers like u. police was looking from some assface like u, who was hiding on the roof of the restaurant. so shut you assmouth up and go fuck yourself or somebody from your loser friends or relatives. and i dont want to see fucker like u at this place near my table. so all losers get a fuck away from this kind of nice places, where food is deliciouse. you should always eat your junk food and get your ass more fater, mother fuckers.

Please explain the awful senario a few weeks ago at Chicken House. I passed by and saw tons of police units with policemen arresting Chicken House employees in their red aprons and a bunch of armenian guys. I mean a line up against the Chicken House wall. Policemen were even searching under the hoods of the vehicles with flashlights. Are you guys transporting crack in fried chicken cause this looks like a cover up to me {haha}. This is truly ridiculous if you ask me. I am never going there and I suggest no-one does either. God knows whats in there food.

AS A OWNER OF CHICKEN HOUSE I READ THE COMMENTS AND SOME WERE UNFORTUNATELLY BAD. SORRY FOR INCONVINIENCE, THE REASON WHY WE WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH, CAUSE WE WERE NEW AND OUR FORMER COOK WAS NOT GOOD EITHER. HE IS NOT HERE ANY MORE. NOW OUR CHEF IS VERY WELL EXPERIENCED AND MENU HAS BEEN CHANGED A LOT, WITH A LOT MORE BETTER TASTY FOOD. I HOPE PEOPLE WHO DIDN’T LIKE IT BEFORE NOW WILL LIKE IT. ONE MORE TIME EVERYBODY IS WELCOME TO CHICKEN HOUSE FOR A GREAT TASTING FOOD. THANK YOU.

i been 1 time and i like it!

THIS PLACE IS CHANGED COMPLETLY AFTER THE NEW YEAR.

NOW THEY SERVE ONE OF THE BEST FOODS IN LOS ANGELES AND IN HOLLYWOOD. THEIR KEBABS AND LULAS ARE DELICIOUS. THEY HAVE BASICALLY EVERYTHING. I RECOMMEND EVERYONE JUST GO AND TRY THEIR FOOD NOW. YOUR FAMILY WILL LOVE IT. MINE DOES.

I bought the beef Kaboob a few times and it was real good. The portions were large, hummus was yummy and the rice was delicious. They are a little slow with the order but I got a good deal and my friend who tried this place likes it too. Remember it is a fast food place.

I feel really bad writing that review though you just can’t pick a franchise out of a hat with no experience. You have to research what your product is, neighborhood marketability and then learn the trade behind closed doors before taking such a big financial gamble. I almost want to go over there, give them my La Cordon Blue Student credentials and show them how it’s done, or at least make them an edible sandwich to serve.

yowch…

ONE OF THE WORST SANDWICHES I HAVE EVER HAD, REALLY!!!!!!

I asked for a Chicken Mushroom Sandwich and got MAYO, KETCHUP, ALMOST A WHOLE SALAD, RED and GREEN BELL PEPPERS and THREE STRANDS OF FLAVORLESS CHICKEN on a DRY OLD ROLL. This was accompanied with SOOGGY CURRLY CUT FRENCH FRIES and a ALMOST FLAT DR. PEPPER THAT WAS 3/4 FULL.

After watching the inexperiance cashier make my sandwich ‘to go’ I had to open it up in front of him and ask, “Where are the mushrooms?” He apologized and threw on a few RAW MUSHROOMS from the inclosed SALAD BAR.

Now I shouldn’t assume to receive cooked mushrooms (everyplace prepares their sandwiches differently) though I notice that they only carry a burner top and charbroil stoves (it’s a open kitchen). If I asked for this service I doubt they could provide a resolution.

While I was there five people came in to check out the new eatery, viewed the tiny hens (pheasant sized) cooking in heated pans (assumedly all day) and left. Originally I went in for a whole chick but was not too pleased with the sight of the overcooked crispy hens on display. Since I was already there and wanted to try a new place; I decided on a sandwich thinking, “How can you possible screw up that?”

Well now I know… you can.

Also the DISH WASHING STATION IS CLEARLY VISIBLE RIGHT NEXT TO THE SODA FOUNTAIN, TWO STEPS AWAY FROM THE CENTER PREP ISLAND. It’s almost as if it was meant as a display. Please, no one wants to see dirty dishes being washed while waiting for their food. Since I did not see a hand washing sink I can only assume the worst.

Since I live in Little Armenia and like to support small businesses (the market on the corner of Hollywood & N. Alexandria and Big Mamma’s & Papa’s Pizzeria down the street are both terrific!), I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately all I can see this eatery being is prime real-estate for a late night robbery.

Most likely I see Chicken House closing very soon.

if they’re open late nights on the weekend it might be a nice spot to haunt in the wee hours of the morning. Nothing like fried chicken at 2AM.
