Chango Coffee Shop is an Echo Park institution that Susina Bakery owner Jenna Turner and Fix Coffee owner Marc Gallucci spiffed up in 2012. The space now features fetching murals indoors and out, high-backed banquette seating, wood tables, a marble counter, shelves of foods you’d actually want to eat, and a seriously good off-menu Mint Lemonade.

The lemonade, which costs $2.75 for 16 ounces and $3.25 for 20 ounces, isn’t exactly crafted from magical citrus. Hell, the lemons actually come from concentrate, but when combined with water, sugar, and a blizzard of fresh mint, the beverage becomes ultra refreshing on a hot day. That’s a very good thing, since there are a hell of a lot of hot days in Echo Park.
