Pork Macau

Macau drew 29 million visitors in 2013, and not just because of the casinos, but also because the peninsula has become a culinary destination, and the Sheraton Macao Hotel, Cotai Central, Macau’s largest hotel, is at the center of the excitement. The hotel recently launched a cooking video series designed to connect travelers to the hotel and to spotlight some of Macau’s unique culinary offerings, which primarily combine elements from Portugal and China.

The Sheraton Macao Hotel houses three signature restaurants: Feast, offering a world of flavors buffet highlighting Asian, Portuguese and Macanese delights; Xin, one-of-a-kind Asian hotpot and seafood restaurant, offering a diverse array of hot pots, and fresh-from-the-tank seafood; and Bene, a warm and welcoming modern Italian trattoria with authentic Italian dishes. These interactive cooking videos, led by the hotel’s expert chefs, make it possible for travelers to create their own Macau-inspired dish at home. In each video, a chef from Director of Culinary David King’s staff instructs a local blogger or critic on how to make the dish, which they present for Mr. King’s approval. Enjoy!
