March 2, 2012 - It was back to Koreatown for Palsaik Samgyupsal, a pork belly specialist from Korea that specializes in “8 Colorful Flavors of Pork,” including wine, curry and herb.

February 27, 2012La Super-Rica continued its run in Santa Barbara with their Super-Rica Especial, a mess of roasted pasilla chiles, cheese and marinated pork on a stack of fluffy corn tortillas.

February 28, 2012 – Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen recently replaced CASA with Blue Cow, where chef Joshua Smith is producing dishes like deviled eggs with bacon and candied jalapeños.

February 29, 2012 – Tuesday involved a light lunch at Midtown Lunch rec Jang Tou Bossam. My Spicy Rice Cake & Korean Sausage Combo cost $9.99 and involved soft soondae with chile’d salt and fermented shrimp dipping sauce, plus soft, seasoned cylinders of dduk bo ki with fish cake, scallions, carrot and onion and crunchy cabbage in gochujang.
