Stir It 28 is a multi-city cocktail event that aids Haitian earthquake relief efforts.

The food blogging community has stepped up to assist Haitian earthquake relief efforts. So far we’ve seen bake sales, charity auctions and cocktail events. Stir It 28 is the latest fundraising effort, spanning four cities and involving Chrystal Baker from The Duo Dishes, Bren Herrera of Flanboyant Eats and Courtney Nzeribe of Coco Cooks.

According to the trio’s announcement, “STIR represents the action we as chefs, restaurateurs, home cooks, and food bloggers take in the kitchen; “stirring” up interest and activity for Haiti relief. 28 represents the number of days in February–our month long effort to support Haiti.” 100% of proceeds go directly to YELE & Share Our Strength.

On February 21, four cities will host a culinary event: Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago and New York. 28 chefs, restaurants, home-cooks and food bloggers will participate by donating 2-3 dishes that will feed 15-20 (per dish). Attendance to the event is open to the public, with tickets available for purchase in advance, with limited tickets available at the door.
