SPAM earned an international following starting with World War II.

SPAM, everybody’s favorite canned pork product, which Hormel debuted in 1937, is having another moment thanks to the Monty Python musical “Spamalot,” adapted from their movie “Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It’s last minute, but today until 2:30 PM, the Center Theatre Group is hosting SPAMapalooza at Music Center Plaza to honor the musical’s arrival. Patina Spotlight Café will have SPAM tacos, two for $3 or three for $5. You’ll also find killer rabbit throwing, cow tossing and a can o’ SPAM scavenger hunt. Yes, you’ll also be able to buy tickets to “Spamalot.”
