Food Event Los Angeles

Food Fare is a flavorful annual culinary event that generates serious charity.

Food Fare celebrates its 29th year at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on March 12, featuring some of the biggest names in Los Angeles food and drink. Event organizer Mindy Kahn calls Food Fare “a magical Eden of flowing drink and bountiful savories.” 54 restaurants, bakeries and caterers will offer tastes, including A.O.C., Anisette Brasserie, Bar Pintxo, Clementine, Il Grano, Joe’s, La Provence Patisserie & Café, Lucques and XIV. You’ll also find cookbook signings and demos from Nancy Silverton (Osteria Mozza), Suzanne Goin (A.O.C.) and Vinny Dotolo & Jon Shook (Animal). Raffles will award prizes like a walk-on role on “Brothers & Sisters,” a tour of the “Private Practice” set and vacation packages. Food Fare raises funds for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, which provides access to reproductive health care and sexual health information.

Tickets are available online or by phone until March 11 at noon. Pre-sale prices: $125 for morning session, which lasts from 10:30 AM – 2 PM, and $175 for evening session, which runs from 6 PM – 9:30 PM. At the door, tickets cost $150 for the morning session and $200 for the evening session.
