Just took my Korean mom to Soban for the first time. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her so happy after a meal lol. The crab is outstanding, the panchan wonderful, and the spicy kalbi jjim excellent, too. I would actually recommend people get the spicy kalbi jjim even if they’re not particularly tolerant of spice. It’s not that hot and much more flavorful than the mild version.

Bigmouth,
Glad to hear you and your mom enjoyed Soban so much. I’ve never found Korean food especially spicy, so I also say, bring on the spice. Any other Koreatown favorites?
